Catechism Resources
Along with creeds and confessions, catechisms are another helpful resource meant to aid the Christian in understanding and memorizing biblical theology. They are formatted in such a was that a question is asked and an answer is given with scriptural prooftexts. We utilize Spurgeon's Catechism with Scriptural Proofs and the Heidelberg Catechism at Faithful Stones Church. We have also included some helpful resources that can be used to catechize your children. All of these resources can be utilized in your family worship time.

The Heidelberg Catechism, written in 1563, originated in one of the few pockets of Calvinistic faith in the Lutheran and Catholic territories of Germany. Conceived originally as a teaching instrument to promote religious unity in the Palatinate, the catechism soon became a guide for preaching as well. It is a remarkably warm-hearted and personalized confession of faith, eminently deserving of its popularity among Reformed churches to the present day.
