Madam,
Today we celebrate the most significant event in human history – the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Easter Sunday has been set apart and celebrated by Christians for centuries. Not only have you failed to acknowledge this holy day of remembrance but have instead sought to subvert its message by promoting an ideology that violates God’s image and His law by declaring March 31, 2024, as “Transgender Day of Visibility”.
The resurrection of Jesus not only validated Him as God incarnate, but also as King of kings and Lord of lords. This Jesus, the Ruler of kings, has demanded your submission to His authority and His perfect law (Revelation 1:5). Every Civil Magistrate is a servant of God meant to promote good and restrain evil (Romans 13:1-4). You have abdicated your responsibility as you continue to call good evil and evil good (Isaiah 5:20).
We, the leadership and membership of Faithful Stones Church, refuse to acknowledge this proclamation, and continue to recognize this day and all future Easter Sundays as a celebration of Jesus Christ. We call on you to repent of your blasphemous and wicked actions and rescind your proclamation.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ confirmed His victory over death and sin. It is because of His death and resurrection that mankind can be reconciled to God, but this reconciliation only comes with repentance and faith. Not only do we call you to act as a faithful magistrate, but we also call you to repentance and faith in Christ for your own soul. “It is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgement” (Hebrews 9:27). You will stand before the Lord one day, and we pray that you bow to Him in submission now while hope remains. If not, you will bow in submission in the last day when every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God (Philippians 2:10-11).
“So now, O king, show insight; take warning, O judges of the earth. Serve Yahweh with fear and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He become angry, and you perish in the way, for His wrath may soon be kindled. How blessed are all who take refuge in Him.” Psalm 2:10-12
